Work in progress. I have to take a photo of the finished painting.

I did this painting last year but never really liked it. I was trying to make it look like an old time sepia formal photograph. In my opinion, it looked too much like something that should be hung in the haunted mansion at Disneyland.

Taking what I learned about under painting,I added some color to the painting. Now I like it, quite a bit, really.

  1. Contessa, I finished the one on the easel. The grey hat was giving me fits so I redid it and the man’s head shape. I’ll see if I can upload it tomorrow.

  2. Great paintings, I like the Caterinas but love the one on your easel.

  3. Teresa in Nagoya, you wanted to see how I was doing on my weight loss, LOL. I’m wearing a big tee shirt as a painter’s smock. LOL. The big difference is that you are on a diet and I have changed my diet. It’s not a matter of being good. Of course, if it was really that simple we’d all be rail thin.

Thank you Susan! I like her make over too!

Brenda, Thank you, that is very nice of you. I think that there is discernible difference between my current work and when I started. Which is good.

    regards,
    Theresa
