Just what I needed.

I made Spring rolls yesterday, here is the finished product. I blogged about it on the cooking blog, plus some other stuff. Of course, there is more to the story but if you want to read it, here it is.

  1. RCT, I bet you can find them at DAC, isn’t that in Playa? or am I confused? which is also very possible.

W from M, thank you that is very nice of you. I will be checking it out this week. I have a lot of catching up to do!

  2. Theresa,
Both your blogs bring me so much enjoyment and vicarious sense of living in a foreign country. I’ve been “lurking” for a while, but wanted to introduce myself.

I nominated you for a Kreativ Blogger award.

  3. Wow, those look really good. 🙂 I wish I could find wrappers. Oh well, maybe in Playa del Carmen. 🙂

  4. Hi Susan, you need to get your fill of Vietnamese food before you move to Mérida! LOL, of course new places are opening up all the time. I heard that there is now an Indian restaurant, can Vietnamese be far behind?

AMM, soon you will be back in the land of good Chinese and other Asian delights and it will be tacos and carne asada that you will be missing!

  5. Love these kind of spring rolls! I cannot remember last time I had one …

  6. I went out of my way yesterday to pick up some spring rolls from a place here in H-town, Vietopia. It didn’t dawn on me until I popped back in today that I had been craving them since you posted this. They’re so cool and refreshing on these crazy hot days. Vietopia uses cilantro, green onion, sprouts, cucumber strips, and your choice of shrimp or shredded chicken. If I’m feeling really piggish, I can eat four without any assistance!

  7. Star, I guess it all depends upon how far a trip into Merida is for you. That sure is a complement.

Joanna, thank you. It’s been so long since I have had real spring rolls, I don’t know how these compare, but they were tasty!

  8. Looks just delicious.

  9. I would make a trip into Merida for some of these, yummm!
