No fan zone!

Last night was the first night in a long time that we didn’t have a single fan on! I slept under the sheet almost the whole evening. It isn’t cold enough yet to search out the blanket, but it’s really nice.
In fact, yesterday evening,I felt a chill and changed into socks and a slightly heavier dress with short sleeves to walk around the house! Mr Dog has been acting like a puppy, I don’t know if it’s the cooler weather or the new food, but he is one happy boy.
Don’t get me wrong, it is not cold by any means. It is pleasantly cool. Normally, I close the south facing windows between 10 am and 5 pm, today I was able to leave them open all day. I’m pretty sure that this is a temporary thing, brought on by this most recent norte, so I am enjoying it while I can!
It’s funny but I actually have two wardrobes here, my hot season clothes which consist of tank tops, sleeveless dresses and shorts and my cool season wardrobe of short sleeve tops, a couple of long sleeve tops, long pants, and several shawls and light sweaters.
Soon, I will be complaining about being too cold, but for right now I agree with baby bear, it is just right.

  1. Bicycle Yucatan, I have to agree, normally I am fine with the heat, but enough already!

Steve, I am afraid that the rainy season is over without ever really starting here. I wonder what next year will be like?

D of a 3rd age woman, I zipped over to your blog, the sweaters are cute! Mr Dog grows his own sweater, if I was willing to comb him daily he could do his sheep dog impression, but I am lazy and even in winter it’s too hot here.

  2. It cooled off here in Oaxaca too, I took a photo of the terriers with their sweaters on. Apparently the German Shepherd won’t allow sweaters on his body.

  3. Well, I wish someone would shut off the humidity switch on this coast. I thought all of our rain would help. It didn’t. People keep telling me it is coming. I keep hoping.

  4. The cool North breeze feels wonderful. I didn’t think the heat would ever let up. I even enjoy the clouds…a welcome change from all the sunshine we normally have in Yucatan!
