Partying til dawn

021Partying ‘til dawn is a very Mexican thing,I only made it until 11:30 at the Time Travelers’ Ball. Seizing the opportunity to wear my pink mules that I bought in Ticul for $100 pesos or maybe it was $50, anyway, an incredible bargain for dress up shoes that didn’t match anything that I owned at the time, and rocking some matching polish on the toes I was all set to boogey all night. Around 10 pm my knees started protesting and I switched to chanclas (flip flops), cute dressy chanclas however.

Here are some shots of my fellow party goers. Even though I have started remembering to bring along my camera, I’m not much of photographer.I apologize to everyone who I caught with their eyes closed.
For some reason I can’t get the photos correct. I think it may because I uploaded them as a group rather than one at a time.

This is the silent auction table before all the items were placed upon it. I forgot to come back and take another photo. I made the Fabrege inspired eggs.

  1. Madame Pliers, the only thing wrong with chaclas is that I find them hard to dance in. I need to buy a comfy pair of ballet style slippers when I go NOB again.I like those colors quite a bit too, I am going to make some more practical things in that combination.

Islagringo, It would be great fun.Send me an email and we’ll make plans.

Steve and Debbie, thank you. I picked a sort of blurry photo hoping it would look “romantic” and flattering. I guess it worked.

  2. Theresa, you look stunning! What an amazing outfit.

  3. You do indeed look elegant. Time Traveler or not.

  4. what a clever girl you are! Love the eggs. We should do a “craft day” sometime!

  5. Your costume turned out beautifully, Theresa, and I love the color palate that you chose! Bravo! And 2 thumbs up on having had the comfy shoes in reserve. I’m sure they made the night all the more fun.
